Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in La Liga over two years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
