David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
