Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a senior official has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to head back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
