Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.

The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
