Former President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has invited the family of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the presidential home.

He added that he contacted her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a attack on last Wednesday in DC.

Her colleague, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in grave state.

The commander-in-chief stated he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the parents of both soldiers of the West Virginia Guard.

Mourners came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to honor Beckstrom.

“She was the type of pupil that teachers wished for. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that lifted those around her,” the principal, the principal of her previous school, informed the Associated Press. “She was caring, compassionate and always ready to assist people.”

Service arrangements for Beckstrom are yet to be finalized.

Officials have indicted a 29-year-old Afghan national with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The incident led the Trump administration to suspend refugee claims and temporarily stop granting visas to owners of travel documents.
