The Blue Jays Earn Fall Classic Meeting Against Los Angeles Dodgers
Springer previously helped the Houston Astros securing the World Series in 2017.
Canada's MLB team advanced to their initial championship series since the 1993 season by beating the Mariners in the decisive game seven of the AL Championship Series.
Down 3-1, Springer hit a three-run blast in the seventh inning, guiding the sole Canadian team in the majors to a 4-3 series victory in the series. Awaiting them are the defending champions, who are the current crown, in the anticipated Fall Classic.
"I'm just so happy for our team, Toronto, Canada," commented Springer, an integral part of the Astros team that secured the 2017 World Series. "It's truly an amazing experience."
Springer has now slugged twenty-three post-season home runs, placing him third in history trailing only Manny Ramirez (29) and Altuve (twenty-seven).
"There's probably not another player in the world that I want up in that spot except for Springer with his post-season brilliance," said manager John Schneider.
Seattle, despite leading the early in the series, continue to be the only MLB franchise never to appear in a Fall Classic.
Manager Dan Wilson said "certainly that it hurts" after his club's elimination at Toronto's Rogers Centre, but commended their work this season.
"This is a unique group. It's a shame that we had to come out on the unsuccessful side of this game," he remarked.
Toronto claimed the title on their two prior appearances in the early 90s, and are set to host the Dodgers in the first game on Friday.
